A place for my daily musings: Inspired by good food, foreign travels, mesmerizing beats & sounds, wine, and real people.

Musical chairs.

Antwerp, Belgium

I biked through that dodgy park en route to browse the shops & sights of Kreuzberg.

I knew I’d like Berlin when I arrived but I didn’t know I’d love it and leave a part of me there when it came time for me to leave.  The city, the people, the music, the art, the history, the cheap kebabs: I could go on and on with why I love it.

Ich bin ein Berliner.

Bruges, Belgium

This tiny little town in this tiny little country is inexplicably adorable.

I got a text from a friend visiting home in Vienna, Austria a few days ago.  I was asked if there was anything he could bring back to Canada for me.  I wanted to say, “yea, about 190 Lucky Strike’s would be great.”  But I knew better than to go ahead and say that…

Can you feel it?  That warm, welcoming breeze?  That Spring scent?

As a victim of a long, drawn out and historical winter, I vow to my skin, my mind and my body I will spend as much time outside as I can in the coming months.  I believe it will be best thing for me.

A warm, October evening.

Snow days as an adult are 100 times better than snow days as a kid.

You can get day drunk on your favourite bottle of red.  Building a snow fort has nothing on that.
